Well I sure knew you had the "KungFu" blackbelt in Internet/IT/PC/SuperGeek but wow it does looks like you really do know what your doing troutpimp. Wish you the best of luck. One of the biggest problems you will have is blending people....and in the fly fishing world thats a tough task..These sites serve me well for diversion and entertainment during many a long day at work,have even made a few friends as a bonus. I see a few of them have signed on here!

Biggest problem is getting people to play in the sandbox that dont get all offended if they get a little sand thrown in their eyes. Over time the forum will police itself and develop a personality..I for one dont have a problem if anyone flames me on the internet, kind of think its fun, yes maybe I am a sick bastard but what the hell. On the other hand your moderator Sasha got his panties so twisted up over a few coments some drunk guys said on the internet I see he is still sour and making coments about how fucked up those guys are on that site here on your new site. Some Guys that are new to any activity want to be accepted so much by the others they may say some things that come accross the wrong way,it is the internet you know. Some may say things to try and promote ones self as an expert,time will weed them out,some experts dont say shit because the morons that are yaking about how fkng great they are would not listen anyway, the guys in the middle pipe up every now and then but really dont know what to fkng listen to or weed out anyway. Some get on these places to joke around a bit and see whats going on in the area fishing..hell some people even get on these site to see what their favorite site moron had to say for the day and then flame their ass. Some new people in the sport get on to learn and listen but in many cases leave feeling like what they just read was 50/50 and best with all the above bull shit going on. Hope you can blend it into a good site tpimp..going to be your biggest challenge.

Based on your choice of moderator I dont believe I will be able to play much if at all.

I know some of Gourley's buddies and they are serious anglers, as is Dave of course. I am humbled to have them here, and want to learn whatever I can from those with more skill and experience at the fly fishing game than myself. As long as it doesn't turn into a total bitchfest, I'm down. As far as the moderation goes, I'd have it unmoderated entirely if I thought I could get away with it. I needed someone else who spends too much time on the internet to help me keep an eye on this while I'm not here. Anyway, this aint supposed to be about Sasha vs the world, is it?

Micah, are you out there? You always had interesting posts before the no-fish-porn police got all up in your shit over at that other site. Please feel free to post interesting & controversial BS here.

My feeling are like this; Sasha you're a good cat, and I know that. There isn't anything wrong with you, except you let these clowns get under your skin. Just tell them to fuck off if they get in your face, and leave it there. The only reason anyone makes you a target, I'll put money on it, is because you react like this internet forum shit is meaningful. (That and the prerequisite Californian hazing.) I know you know better. Think AR-15 forums, you can throw down, I know you can. At the same time, I think some of the pricks from that other site, are, well, pricks sometimes. If you have a legitimate disagreement, it's just that, a disagreement. If grown men can't agree to disagree they aren't really men.

Dave: Don’t worry you can play here all you want. Personally I wasn’t too pissed about the crap on the other site. Hell the only reason I even mentioned it here was in jest. This can be detected by my use of smiles. Someone else said something about it and I made a smartass reply. Personally I found the interaction with Lando (aka trout slut) to be quite fun and I took his posts in a joking manner. Hell if I was worried about what drunk guys said I would have never lasted on the desk as long as I did. I have never really had any interaction with you and I don’t know you, nor do you know me.

Fishpole: Your thing was not personal it was based on promoting this site on another site you said negative things about. A few people thought that because you were promoting this site that you were part of the site staff here. I don’t know you and I don’t base any MOD decisions on crap that happens on other forums. That is all……….

As far as flame wars go if you find them fun and exciting fine. Just post them in the proper forum Hell I might even join in the “fun” and no I won’t get my panties twisted .
